TAH partners with KNA in FSC® CoC Services

KNA has successfully signed a cooperation agreement with TÜV Austria Hellas (TAH) on providing FSC® CoC services. Accordingly, TAH and KNA cooperate together to provide FSC® CoC services in Vietnam. This is not only a recognition for KNA but also a milestone that opens up great opportunities for businesses in Vietnam's forest products industry, creating a foundation for businesses to expand their export markets in the future.

FSC® COC SERVICE PROCESS ACHIEVES INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

With internationally recognized competency, KNA confidently helps businesses deploy FSC® CoC services according to TAH's certification process.

Step 1: Receive Customer information

The FSC® CoC service process begins with the Certification Body (TAH) or Authorized Agency (KNA CERT) receiving information from the Customer. Businesses will be provided with initial information about the process, basic requirements and benefits of achieving FSC® CoC certification. This helps businesses better understand the process and benefits they can receive from participating in the Forest Stewardship Council.

Step 2: Fill in the registration form

To begin the FSC® CoC audit procedure, Enterprises need to fill out the Registration Form and submit to the Certification Body (TAH) or Authorized Agency (KNA CERT). This registration form will contain information about the business (manufacturing or trading) and other related documents. This step ensures that all important information has been collected in detail and accurately.

Step 3: Confirm and schedule audit

The Certification Body (TAH) or Authorized Agency (KNA CERT) reviews the information from the Application Form and confirms the suitability of the application. Information about the official audit schedule will be sent to the Enterprise, including information about the time and auditor.

Step 4: Prepare for audit

Businesses need to prepare documents and information necessary for the audit process, including working procedures, wood product transaction records, and any documents related to the origin and sustainability of wood wood supplies.

Step 5: Perform audit

The FSC® CoC auditor of the Certification Body (TAH) or Authorized Body (KNA CERT) will conduct a formal audit of the business's Chain of Custody. This process includes reviewing documents, conducting site inspections, and interviewing personnel to assess your compliance with the requirements of the FSC® CoC Standard.

Step 6: Review and correct documents

After the audit, feedback will be sent to the business, including requests for corrective action for NCs (if any). Businesses need to take measures or adjustments to ensure compliance with the requirements of the FSC® CoC standard.

Step 7: Decide to approve the application and issue the certificate

Once the business has made all the necessary modifications and adjustments, the Certification Body will review the audit report and decide whether the organization meets the requirements of the FSC® CoC. If qualified, the business will be granted an FSC® CoC certificate.

Step 8: Periodic monitoring (annually)

Businesses will be required to demonstrate maintaining compliance with the FSC® CoC standard through periodic audits. Auditors will evaluate the business's operations to ensure the continuity of the Standards.

Step 9: Recertification (after 5 years)

After 5 years, when the FSC® CoC certificate expires, businesses can choose to apply for FSC® CoC re-certification. The process will be similar to initial audit.
