On 15/9/2015, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has officially issued the ISO 9001: 2008 standard to replace ISO 9001: 2008 standard. This has resulted from more than three working years of professionals from nearly 95 countries participating and observing to update standards in line with modern demands.
On December 31, 2015, the Ministry of Science and Technology announced the National Standard TCVN ISO 9001: 2015. This standard is acceptable and completely equivalent to the International Standard ISO 9001: 2015. To ensure the stability of production and business activities and facilitate the agencies and organizations that have applied TCVN ISO 9001: 2015 on the basis of reference General guidance on the conversion of ISO standards ISO: 2015 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the Ministry of Science and Technology gave instruction as follows:

What are the key differences between ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 9001 2015?
ISO 9001:2015 is set up based on requirements of quality management system.
Structure: ISO 9001:2015 has 10 clause matching with PDCA process. Clause 4 đến 7 - Plan, Clause 8 - Do, Clause 9 - Check, Clause 10 - Act
Terminology: 69 terms has been introduced in ISO 9001:2015 in more specific, understandable layout and flexible scope.
ISO 9001:2015 remains effective in 3 years. During effective time, certification body will conduct regular supervision to ensure that certified quality management system follows ISO 9001:2015 standards. The supervision period may be 6 months, 9 months or up to 12 months depending on the organization and / or the agreement between the customer and the certification body. After 3 years, if still desiring to certify, the organization / enterprise must register for re-evaluation. The review is conducted in the same way as the first certification review. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
