Revenue and profit can increase from 30% to 50% thanks to ISO 9001:2015 application.

Because of applying advanced quality management system, enterprises can increase their revenue and profit from 30% to 50% compared to the previous year.

Revenue can increase three times to seven times thanks to the application of management system.

According to the result of survey, in 4 key industries of HCM City, there are about 70% of enterprises undertaking activities to boost productivity.  This survey was conducted by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology with Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Economics.  There are, especially, some enterprises that apply productivity management system can increase their revenue from three times to seven times compared with others without application.

On the authority of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Standards Metrology and Quality, the application of quality management system, especially ISO 9001:2015, will help enterprises to increase their productivity from 30% to 50% compared the same period of last year.

Enterprises said the rate of returning customers is always 80% since they applied quality management system.  Operational processes and combination among departments becom simpler thanks to responsibility assignment.

In spite of benefits of the applicaiton of management systems, tools of productivity and quality improvement, some enterprises are still hesitant. Mr Nguyen Van Ha, Director General of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Standards Metrology and Quality, said some enterprises know and desire to apply tools of quality improvement but do not know how to reap ample profit.

"They do not know which system tools are appropriate to them because of countless system tools. Therefore, we enthusiastically support enterprises in this problem", Mr Ha shared.

In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Standards Metrology and Quality organized nearly 1000 classes, propaganda and recruitment as well as international cooperation in terms of building and applying advanced management system and managing research model for scientific information and new technology development.

According to statistics of Department, over 38.530 turns took part in advisory and coaching program; 719 enterprises of them were supported to advanced apply quality management system and tools of productivity and quality improvement.

"Enterprises need to have perseverance and determination of leadership as well as the staff to use system tools effectively. In addition, leaders must understand the whole process, catch issues and their reasons then make appropriate adjustment", Mr Ha stated.

At the end of 2020, Ho Chi Minh City is expected to develop 20 model enterprises concerning management system, tools of productivity and quality improvement.  These models will apply management systems, tools of productivity and quality improvement such as 5S, KPI, ISO 9001, ISO 14000… Participants will be supported in propaganda, recruitment with 15 VND million and financial support for construction, the creation of a point model.

Overall change in production

A small-sized enterprise is equipped with basic technology and popular with unskilled labour.  Thanks to the application of lean production management system, Tan Quang Minh Manufacture and Commerce Co., Ltd considerably saved production area, increased its productivity by 15%.

Thinh Phat Real Estate - Electric Cable JSC began as a poor private enterprise, poor facilities. Thanks to the acceleration in ISO 9001:2015 application with the application of productivity improvement management systems such as 5S, Kaizen, TFP, BVS score balance card,.. Thinh Phat's annual revenue always reaches over 40%, export growth increases 50%/year. Thinh Phat is known as one of two Ho Chi Minh City's enterprises which achieved Gold Award in National Quality Award in 2017.
