Textile products of hundreds of enterprises have been certified with conformity.

According to Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Trade, textile products must have CR conformity marks of QCVN:01/2017/BCT to circulate in market. Up to now, there are hundreds of enterprises that have conformity certificates.

January 1st, 2019 is the deadline for textile products to have CR conformity marks for market circulation, according to "National technical regulation on limit level of formaldehyde content and aromatic amines derived from azo dyes in textile products" of Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Types of clothes, dresses, garment fabric, kinds of rugs and other garment accessories like hats, gloves, cravats, types of blankets, bedsheets, pillows, mattress and curtains, etc are circulated in market only after they were labelled with conformity marks and registered the document of conformity certification as prescribed.

After products were certified, CR conformity stamp will be attached on products, they must be simultaneously responsible to the authorities.   The authorities will check conformity marks on products or product packaging.  Afterwards they check involved documents then conformity certification and conformity annoucement, products/goods with CR conformity marks without a proof of conformity certification are considered as an illegal action.

Up to now, hundreds of domestic enterprises that import and do businesses have conducted conformity certification, announcement and labelling on textile products before they are put into market.

According to Mrs Pham Thu Giang, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology of Ministry of Industry and Trade, after one month of implementation, this Ministry received some feedbacks from textile association, enteprises, agencies and related units.  Goals of this action are to protect customers' benefits and rights, ensure community health, facilitate the business of each enterprise, implement administrative reform fully in management activities, set specialized examination.

"Ministry of Industry and Trade are cooperating with Textile Association, authorities and related units to assess and analyze matters arising in the application, implementation of National technical regulation on limit level of formaldehyde and aromatic amines derived from azo dyes in textile products", Mrs Giang stated.
