BRC Food Issue 8 will be published on 01-08-2018

BRC Global Standards has announced publishing day of BRC Food Issue 8 on 1 August 2018.

The main content of BRC FOOD ISSUE 8:

  1. Encourage the development of product safety culture
  2. Expand the requirements for environmental monitoring to reflect the growing importance of this technology
  3. Encourage units to further develop food security and food security systems
  4. Additional clarification requirements for high-risk, high-care and ambient high-care areas
  5. Establish a new approach to the assessment process and evaluation report that focuses more on the operation of the plant and management commitment.
  6. Ensure global applicability and compliance with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)

The requirements of Version 8 demonstrate the evolution of previous development scenarios, emphasizing commitment to management, a food safety program based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and quality management system.

Building international standards for best practices in food safety, the BRC Global Standard Food Safety certification allows suppliers worldwide to inform customers that they are maintaining the highest standards for safety, quality and compliance with legal requirements. Audits by version 8 start in February 2019.
